One of the many important branches of the Museum work is cooperation with core institutions, research centers, NGOs, foundations, and other government and non-government organizations in Ukraine and abroad. The main priorities of our international cooperation: academic exchange, cultural and educational events, participation in international project competitions.
This is a cultural and educational project, which was first set up by the Institute of National Memory and Union of political prisoners of Slovakia. The aim of the project is to raise interest in studying history, to cultivate respect to common European inheritance, to honor heroes (victims of totalitarian regimes), and to recognize their contribution to spiritual formation of European community.
Within this project memories of witnesses of totalitarian regimes are collected and published on the international internet-site “Memory of Nations”. The project was set up by Czech organizations, namely “Post Bellum” community, Czech radio, The Institute for the study of totalitarian regimes.
Not much is known about transformation of a Polish city Lwόw and German city Lemberg into Soviet Ukrainian Lviv. People, who after radical changes made by the Soviet authorities, settled in post-war Lviv, have many stories to tell. A very interesting but yet not researched enough territory of Lviv is Pidzamche.
